Difference between different types of squash balls?
The dots relate to the speed of the ball. And the length of time the ball will take to heat up. The hotter the ball the faster it plays. The dots are in relation to the speed and bounce of the ball 'hang time' in the air. The blue and red dots are aimed at beginners because they bounce higher giving the player more time to hit the ball. The yellows are aimed at better players, the single yellow dot bounces higher than the double yellow dot ......double yellow dots are aimed at good to elite players as they have less 'hang time' than all other balls, hence the player has less time to hit the ball before it bounces twice. It dots tend to refer to the weight (mass) of the ball!!
